Orchestra Recognition Award
Purpose
In 1992, President Hugo Magliocco and the Executive Board of the International Trombone Association established the ITA Orchestra Recognition Award. Since its inception, this award has been presented to orchestras worldwide. In the form of an engraved plaque and an accompanying letter of appreciation, the award is given to an orchestra which has made a significant contribution to the artistic advancement of trombone performance and literature.
Eligibility Requirements
The basis for selection for the award is that an orchestra must have programmed and performed a minimum of two major works for solo trombone and orchestra within a maximum of five years, and that at least one of the works must have been a new or recent composition.
Nominations and inquiries should be directed to the Chair of the Awards Committee
